Dirk de Vos has 16 years of professional experience in Corporate Finance, Regulatory, Legal and Private Equity / Venture Capital. He has consulted principally to the ICT sector, the media sector and in renewable energy including strategic consulting.

Dirk’s more recent work has been advising GTAC, a division of Treasury, on local government procurement of electricity from local sources, long-term contracting with energy service companies, the impact of embedded electricity generation on local government finances. Dirk also advised the City of Cape Town and costed the use of local generation capacity and demand response mechanisms to reduce the impact of load shedding.

As a full-time consultant to Xiocom Wireless, a suite of wireless access systems, Dirk’s roles included the acquisition of new proprietary technologies, advising on and drafting motivations for acquisition of new and existing deployments, the drafting necessary agreements for deployments. Dirk was also responsible for doing market analysis and the preparation of prospectus documentation.

Dirk has participated in the renewable energy sector representing equity held by the NGO sector in projects which included the preparation of bid documentation, negotiating equity position, structuring way in which such equity is held, procuring funding required for it to reach financial close.

As Legal Advisor to SAIL, a listed sport investment company and assumed responsibility new investments/disposals and re-structuring investments relating to media and technology.
